Today is the most crucial game of the season to this point for the Detroit Lions, they will be facing off against the 6-3 Green Bay Packers. A win for the Lions and they will only be one game behind the Packers in the standings, a loss and they will drop to 4-6 and be three games behind in the NFL’s toughest division. The Lions have the team and the offensive weapons match the Packers and their high powered offense, but they will need their defense to step up to the challenge and get some much needed stops to give Matthew Stafford and the Lions offense an opportunity to build up a lead.
As always, defense is a crucial part to this game, but to beat the Packers all you need to do is match their offense and hope to get the ball last with an opportunity to win. If Leshoure can get established on the ground, it will open up a lot of opportunities for Stafford to find Johnson and Young down the field. Titus Young is another key to the game, if he can have another solid game to take the pressure off of Calvin Johnson, then the Lions will have no problem putting points on the board. This isn’t literally a must win game, but if the Lions lose today, the season may come crashing down.
