Lions agree to terms with Jim Caldwell to be the next Head Coach

Former Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinaor Jim Caldwell has replaced Jim Schwartz as Head Coach of the Detroit Lions.

After Ken Wisenhunt was signed as Head Coach for the Tennessee Titans, the Lions had to make a secondary move and signed Jim Caldwell.

Jim Caldwell was OC for the Ravens during their Superbowl run in February 2014. Caldwell was also Head Coach for the 2010 AFC Champions the Indianapolis Colts and was their quarterbacks coach during their 2007 Superbowl victory.

Jim Caldwell was the QB coach for future hall-of-famer Peyton Manning from 2002 to 2008 who also endorsed Caldwell’s move to take over the Lions position. Former Indianapolis Head Coach Tony Dungy also gave Caldwell an endorsement as he takes over at Ford Field.
